RULES:
**Car preparation for getting a mini-car ready is the same as the full size derby cars. No leaf springs are allowed, no AMC cars, and no Volvo's allowed. No V-8 motors and V-6 motors are allowed only if the car
does not exceed maximum weight. Foreign cars can compete**
- Mini-cars if full framed car must have wheel base of 101 inches or less and weigh less than 2600 lbs. as stated in the N.A.D.A book. Unibody cars can compete with the mini-cars if there wheel base is 105
inches or less and weigh less than 32501bs. No 4-wheel drive vehicles and if vehicle is all wheel drive , one driveshaft must be removed.
- Driver's side door may be welded solid up to the window and 2-3 inch strips are allowed to top of car. All doors are allowed 6-3inch welds or they may be wired or chained. No other welds on body. Bumpers
may be welded with 1-2 inch strip to frame to seam bumpers to the car. If frame is broke, call to verify how to patch no welding of frame seams and nothing can be stuffed in frames. Bumper shocks must be of
factory type, no pipe used as bumper shocks.
- Suspension must be completely stock. Car must move. No welding on any suspension parts.
- No electric fuel pumps unless it was original equipment on make and model of car. Fuel pump shut-off must be wired into the ignition.
- Tires must have d.o.t. number. No tire size change from original tire size of car. Nothing bigger than 14 inch on mini-car. Minimum tire size is 13 inch. No small tires or wheels.
- Batteries and fuel tank must be moved, must be covered and must be securely fastened.
